India Clinches T20 Series with Dominant Win Over Zimbabwe in Harare
India produced another commanding all round performance to defeat Zimbabwe by 90 runs in the second T20, securing the three match series with one fixture remaining.

India wrapped up the three match T20 International series after registering a convincing 90 run victory over Zimbabwe in the second match at Harare Sports Club. With back to back wins, the visitors took an unassailable 2 nil lead and secured the series before the final game.
After being asked to bat first, India recovered well despite losing both openers early. Ishan Kishan anchored the innings with an aggressive 81 from 44 deliveries, while Tilak Varma remained unbeaten on 60 off just 29 balls. Their attacking partnership shifted the momentum completely in India’s favour and powered the team to an imposing total of 219 for five in 20 overs.
Zimbabwe faced an uphill task in the chase and never managed to build a meaningful partnership. Opener Brian Bennett provided a brisk start, but regular wickets prevented the hosts from gaining control of the innings. Captain Sikandar Raza’s early dismissal further dented Zimbabwe’s hopes of staying in the contest.
India’s bowlers maintained relentless pressure throughout the innings. Abhishek Sharma starred with the ball, claiming three wickets while conceding only 17 runs. Yash Thakur and Prince Yadav picked up two wickets each, while Ravi Bishnoi, Shivam Dube and Tilak Varma chipped in with one wicket apiece.
Zimbabwe’s innings ended at 129 in 17.5 overs, handing India a comprehensive victory. The result highlighted India’s dominance in both batting and bowling as the young squad continued its impressive form on the tour.
The two teams will meet once again in the third and final T20 at Harare Sports Club, where India will aim for a clean sweep while Zimbabwe looks to finish the series on a positive note.
