Karimnagar Win Big: Karimnagar Diamonds continued their remarkable turnaround in the TG20 League 2026 with an emphatic 58 run victory over Rangareddy Raisers on Thursday. After losing their opening two matches of the tournament, the team has now secured three consecutive wins and climbed to second place in the points table.
Asked to bat first after losing the toss, Karimnagar Diamonds produced a commanding batting display to post 230 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. Rahul Radesh led the charge with a brilliant 72 off 37 balls, while HK Simha contributed an impressive 60 from 38 deliveries. The pair stitched together a match changing 123 run partnership for the third wicket.
Openers Satwik Reddy and Tanmay Agarwal gave the innings a strong start with quick contributions of 24 and 29 respectively. Chandan Sahani added 19 runs before Shubham Sharma remained unbeaten on 17 to help Karimnagar finish with a massive total. For Rangareddy, Tanay Jaddu claimed two wickets, while Nithin Sai Yadav and Tanay Thyagarajan picked up one wicket each.
Chasing a challenging target of 231, Rangareddy Raisers struggled to keep up with the required run rate and were restricted to 172 for 9 in 20 overs. Aditya Javvaji fought hard with 48 runs from 31 balls, but lacked enough support from the rest of the batting lineup. Gyan Prakash Reddy scored 23, Aaron George made 19, and Nithin Sai Yadav added 15 before being dismissed. Aryan Kariyappa remained unbeaten on 30, but the late effort was not enough to change the outcome.
With another convincing victory, Karimnagar Diamonds have firmly reentered the race for the playoffs, while Rangareddy Raisers will look to recover in their upcoming fixtures.
