Three Andhra Pilgrims Killed in Bihar Bus Accident During Kashi Journey

A spiritual journey to Kashi ended in tragedy after a bus carrying pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh met with a fatal road accident in Bihar. Three passengers lost their lives while at least 15 others sustained serious injuries in the incident.

The private bus had departed from Sangam in Nellore district on June 1 with 43 pilgrims on board. The group was travelling as part of a religious tour and had already covered several destinations before the accident occurred.

According to preliminary information, the crash took place shortly after midnight on National Highway 2 near Aurangabad in Bihar. The bus was travelling from Gaya towards Varanasi when it was reportedly hit by an oncoming vehicle.

The impact was severe, particularly on the left side of the bus where several passengers were seated. Three pilgrims died on the spot due to the force of the collision, while many others suffered injuries of varying degrees.

Most of the victims are believed to be residents of Sangam and Atmakur regions in Nellore district. The injured passengers were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Local police and administrative officials rushed to the accident site soon after receiving information about the crash. Rescue operations were carried out swiftly to assist the passengers and transport the injured for medical care.

Family members and fellow pilgrims have expressed shock over the tragedy. The affected passengers have appealed for support from the Andhra Pradesh government, as they are dealing with the aftermath of the accident in another state.
