RCB Defeat Gujarat Titans to Clinch Back to Back IPL Titles

Royal Challengers Bengaluru continued their dream run in the Indian Premier League by securing a second consecutive title with a convincing victory over Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 final. The former RCB captain delivered another match winning performance, scoring an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls. Earlier, Gujarat Titans struggled to build momentum after being asked to bat first. Their top order failed to make a significant impact, putting the team under pressure in the crucial final. A fighting half century from Washington Sundar helped Gujarat recover and post 155 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs.

RCB captain Rajat Patidar’s decision to bowl first paid off as his bowlers consistently picked up wickets and prevented Gujarat from posting a bigger total. The disciplined bowling effort played a key role in restricting the opposition and setting up the successful chase.
