A significant judgment from the Nampally Court in Hyderabad has drawn public attention after a strict punishment was awarded in a case involving harassment of elderly parents. The ruling is being viewed as a serious warning to individuals who neglect or mistreat their aging family members.

The case came to light after elderly parents living under the Narayanaguda police limits reportedly faced continuous physical and mental harassment from their son, Srinivas. Unable to cope with the situation any longer, they approached the police and submitted a formal complaint seeking protection and legal action.

Following the complaint, police officials registered a case and quickly took the accused into custody. After completing the investigation process, the case was presented before the Nampally Court for further proceedings.

During the hearing, the court examined arguments from both sides and reviewed the available evidence. After finding sufficient proof supporting the allegations, the judge sentenced Srinivas to two months of imprisonment.

The court made it clear that laws protecting elderly parents exist to ensure their safety and dignity during old age. The judgment has been welcomed by many residents who believe such decisions can help discourage harassment and mistreatment of senior citizens in society.
