Cockroach Janata Party and Abhijeet Deepke Spark Gen Z Political Buzz

A digitally driven movement called Cockroach Janata Party is drawing massive Gen Z attention as creator Abhijeet Deepke turns social media conversations into a growing political discussion.

A new digital movement has suddenly become one of the most discussed topics among young people across social media platforms. The Cockroach Janata Party, widely known as CJP, has rapidly gained attention and turned into a surprising online phenomenon within just a few days.

While traditional politics in India is often viewed as expensive and difficult to enter, this online experiment has managed to capture public attention without conventional campaigning. The movement especially found support among Gen Z users who quickly connected with its style and messaging.

The idea reportedly emerged as a satirical response to remarks suggesting that unemployed or struggling youth were increasingly becoming critical voices through media platforms, social media channels, and activist spaces. Using humor and internet culture, the creators transformed the discussion into a larger conversation around youth concerns.

At the center of this online wave is 30 year old political strategist Abhijeet Deepke. His social media experiment unexpectedly evolved into a strong digital campaign and created discussions around unemployment, political disconnect, and the feeling among many young people that their voices are not being heard.

CJP also introduced a membership drive as part of its campaign and reportedly attracted a large number of registrations within a short period. Social media engagement surrounding the initiative indicates that the movement has generated significant interest among younger audiences.

Abhijeet Deepke comes from Pune and completed his journalism studies before moving to the United States for higher education. He later pursued a master’s degree in Public Relations at Boston University where he focused on studying how communication and digital information can influence politics in modern society.

Before pursuing higher studies, he also worked as a volunteer with the social media team of a political party and was involved in online campaign strategies during election periods. His experience with digital communication eventually played a role in shaping the concept behind CJP.

The movement also introduced a set of proposals covering issues such as political accountability, electoral reforms, women’s representation, media independence, and anti defection measures. Although CJP is not officially registered as a political party, its rapid growth suggests that digital age politics may increasingly be shaped by younger generations.
