Bags Filled With Rs 2.83 Crore Found Abandoned on Madhya Pradesh Road

Police in Madhya Pradesh launched an investigation after bags containing cash bundles worth nearly Rs 2.83 crore and suspected fake currency papers were discovered beside a roadside tree.

A major mystery unfolded in Madhya Pradesh after three bags filled with bundles of currency notes were discovered abandoned along the Sanwer Ujjain road. Police officials estimate the total amount recovered to be nearly Rs 2.83 crore.

The bags were reportedly noticed by a local farmer near Bhutta Square, where they had been left under a tree beside the road. Suspicious about the unattended luggage, the farmer immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot and seized the bags for inspection.

Officials were shocked after opening the bags and finding them packed with bundles of Rs 500 notes. During the preliminary examination, authorities estimated the value of the cash to be around Rs 2.83 crore.

However, investigators also found fake currency papers and coloured sheets mixed between some of the note bundles. Police suspect the material may have been prepared for illegal financial activities or fraudulent transactions.

Authorities have registered a case and started a detailed investigation into the incident. Teams are now examining CCTV footage from nearby roads and surrounding areas to identify who abandoned the bags and why such a large amount of cash was left on the roadside.

Police officials believe the recovery could be linked to an organised illegal network, though the exact motive behind the abandoned money is still unclear. The unusual discovery has created widespread curiosity among local residents as the investigation continues.
