Vivo X Fold 6 India Launch Date and Price Details Leaked

Vivo is reportedly preparing to bring its latest foldable smartphone to India after introducing the device in China earlier this year. The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to make its international debut in early October, followed by its arrival in the Indian market a few days later.

According to recent reports based on information shared by tipster Abhishek Yadav, the global launch is expected on October 1, while the Indian launch could take place on October 6 at 12 noon. Vivo has not yet officially confirmed the Indian launch date, so these details should be treated as reported information.

The reported international version could be available in two configurations, with 12GB RAM paired with either 256GB or 512GB storage. Prism Black and Nebula Teal are also expected to be the colour options for international markets. The global model is tipped to run OriginOS 7, while the Chinese version launched with OriginOS 6 Fold based on Android 16.

Pricing is another detail that has not been officially announced for India. Earlier reports have suggested that the Vivo X Fold 6 could be priced above Rs 1.5 lakh in the country. The Chinese model started at 7,999 yuan for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage version.

The phone itself brings substantial hardware to the foldable segment. Its main screen measures 8.02 inches and uses AMOLED technology, with a resolution of 2504 by 2312 pixels. The panel supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and is designed for a large screen experience when the device is unfolded.

A 6.51 inch AMOLED cover display sits on the outside. This allows the phone to be used like a conventional smartphone without opening the foldable screen for everyday tasks. Reports also indicate that both displays support high brightness and wide colour coverage.

Performance is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. The Chinese version can be configured with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. The reported Indian configurations are expected to be more limited, with 12GB RAM and either 256GB or 512GB storage.

Battery capacity is one of the biggest highlights of the Vivo X Fold 6. The phone carries a 7000mAh silicon carbon battery, which is unusually large for a foldable smartphone. It supports 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging.

The camera system is equally ambitious. Vivo has equipped the Chinese model with a triple rear camera setup developed with Zeiss. It includes a 200MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera.

The main camera also supports optical image stabilisation, while the periscope camera provides long range zoom capabilities. The phone can record video at resolutions of up to 8K according to the supplied specifications.

There are also two 20MP front cameras, with one placed on the inner folding display and another on the cover screen. This arrangement allows users to use the camera for selfies and video calls regardless of how the phone is being used.

Durability is another area where Vivo has focused attention. The Chinese version carries IP58 and IP59 protection ratings according to recent reports, providing resistance against dust and water under specified testing conditions.

The device also supports dual SIM connectivity along with 5G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type C. Navigation systems include GPS and several regional satellite positioning systems.

The foldable design is relatively slim when opened. Reports put its unfolded thickness at around 4.4mm, while the folded thickness is around 9.4mm. The device weighs approximately 228 grams.

The international launch is expected roughly four months after the Chinese debut. Vivo introduced the X Fold 6 in China in June, with sales beginning in July. The company has already indicated that the foldable would eventually reach markets outside China.

The timing could put the Vivo X Fold 6 directly alongside other premium foldable smartphones in international markets. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series will be among the major products competing in the same category.

For Indian buyers, the biggest questions now are the final price, launch offers and exact configuration. If the reported October 6 launch date is accurate, Vivo could reveal these details shortly before the Indian announcement.

For now, the launch schedule and Indian pricing remain unconfirmed by Vivo. However, the reported October launch, large battery, flagship processor and 200MP camera system make the X Fold 6 one of the company’s notable upcoming foldable phones for the Indian market.
