HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G Set to Launch in India on September 29

HMD is preparing to add another smartphone to its Vibe series in India, with the HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G scheduled to launch on September 29. The company has already started revealing key details about the upcoming handset ahead of the official announcement.

The new smartphone will be sold through Flipkart, making the online platform the main sales channel for the device. HMD has also released promotional material showing the phone design and confirming several of its specifications.

Battery capacity is one of the major highlights of the HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G. The phone will come with a 6000mAh battery and support 33W wired fast charging. This gives the handset a clear focus on users who want longer usage between charges.

The camera setup is another important feature. HMD has confirmed a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary rear camera, which will be accompanied by a 2MP macro camera. A 13MP front camera is expected to handle selfies and video calls.

The display is also designed for everyday entertainment and browsing. The HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G will feature a 6.78 inch full HD Plus screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate should make scrolling and supported animations feel smoother during regular use.

Under the hood, the phone will use the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. It is expected to be paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. This places the handset in the budget 5G smartphone segment while giving it support for modern mobile connectivity.

Software will be another part of the launch. The HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G will arrive with Android 16. HMD is also bringing Indus AI to the device, with the company saying the assistant can support 22 Indian languages.

The phone is expected to have a practical design rather than focusing only on specifications. Promotional images show a punch hole display and a dual camera arrangement on the rear. The device is also being offered in three colours, including Aqua Green, Cosmic Purple and Silver Mist according to the latest launch information.

HMD has also included features aimed at making the phone more convenient for everyday users. Reports indicate that the handset will retain a 3.5mm headphone jack, while a side mounted fingerprint sensor will be used for unlocking the device.

The company has not yet announced the official price of the HMD Vibe 2 Pro 5G in India. That information is expected to be revealed around the launch, along with final availability and sale details.

The Vibe 2 Pro 5G will arrive as the second handset in HMDs Vibe 2 series in India. The standard HMD Vibe 2 5G was launched earlier this year, giving the company an existing entry point in the budget 5G smartphone market.
