Tirumala Sees Heavy Rush as Sarva Darshan Takes 15 Hours

Tirumala is witnessing a major rush of devotees on Saturday, with the waiting time for Sarva Darshan touching nearly 15 hours. Devotees without special darshan tokens are facing long queues as the number of visitors continues to rise.

The rush has filled the Vaikuntam queue compartments, leaving many devotees waiting outside the regular holding areas. Depending on the crowd situation, the queues are extending up to the Silathoranam area.

The heavy turnout follows a busy Friday at the hill shrine. According to the latest figures, 66,014 devotees had darshan of Lord Venkateswara on Friday and offered their prayers.

A large number of devotees also participated in the tonsure ritual. As many as 31,092 people offered their hair at the temple on Friday as part of their vows.

The temple also recorded substantial hundi collections during the same day. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams received Rs 4.44 crore through the Srivari Hundi on Friday, according to officials.

With the weekend bringing another increase in pilgrim arrivals, temple authorities are focusing on crowd management and arrangements for devotees. Officials are working to ensure that those waiting in the long queues have the necessary facilities despite the heavy rush.

The current situation has made Tirumala particularly busy, with devotees having to spend several hours in the queue before getting an opportunity for darshan.
