Sonu Sood Helps Nepal Flood Victims: Actor Sonu Sood has travelled to Kathmandu to stand with families affected by the devastating floods in Nepal. Carrying essential supplies and relief material, the actor has joined efforts to support people who have been left without homes and, in many cases, without their loved ones.

Sonu Sood, who became widely known for helping migrant workers during the Covid 19 lockdown, said his visit to relief centres had left a deep emotional impact on him. He shared his experience on Instagram and spoke about the children he met there.

One meeting in particular stayed with him. At a relief centre, Sonu Sood met an eight year old girl named Christina, who was with her younger brother. Despite everything around her, the little girl smiled at him and said that things would eventually get better.

Sonu Sood said Christina remained near him until he left the centre. Her situation affected him so deeply that he felt an immediate desire to take care of her and even thought about adopting her. At the same time, he admitted that he felt helpless because there was only so much he could do at that moment.

The actor said seeing children at the rehabilitation centres was extremely painful. Many of them, he noted, were waiting for parents who had gone missing in the floods. Their condition, he said, was a reminder of how powerless people can feel when a disaster suddenly takes everything away.

The Nepal floods have caused widespread destruction, with more than 1,000 people reportedly losing their lives. Thousands of others have been affected and are facing the difficult task of rebuilding their lives after the disaster.

Sonu Sood also used the opportunity to appeal to people outside Nepal. He said those living safely should consider giving some time or financial support to families who are going through the crisis.

According to the actor, disaster relief should not be viewed as the responsibility of governments and ministers alone. Ordinary people can also make a difference by helping in whatever way they can.

Many affected families have lost their homes, relatives and the normal childhood that their children once knew. Sood called for collective support to help them start again.

“Nepal, you are not alone,” was the message he shared with his followers, reflecting his appeal for continued support for flood affected families.
