Poco X8 Power 5G With 10000mAh Battery Set to Launch in India
Poco X8 Power 5G is preparing for its India debut with a massive battery, bright display, rugged protection, fast charging and long software support for users.

Poco is getting ready to introduce its latest battery focused smartphone in India. The Poco X8 Power 5G has been officially confirmed for launch on September 4, and the company is already highlighting its unusually large battery as the phone’s biggest attraction.
The launch event is scheduled for 12 noon on September 4. Poco is expected to stream the announcement through its official social media channels, while the phone will be sold through Flipkart after its launch.
The company has not announced the final Indian price yet. However, leaks suggest that the Poco X8 Power 5G could start somewhere between Rs 28,000 and Rs 30,000. The actual price and available variants will be confirmed at the launch.
10000mAh Battery Takes Centre Stage
The biggest talking point of the Poco X8 Power 5G is its 10000mAh battery. Poco claims this will be the largest battery ever offered in a smartphone under its brand.
According to the company’s claims, the phone can deliver up to three and a half days of usage on a single charge. Poco is also expected to focus on long term battery health, with the company indicating that the battery is designed to provide reliable performance over several years.
The phone is tipped to support 100W fast charging, which should help make the large battery more practical for everyday use. A 27W reverse charging feature is also expected, allowing the handset to provide power to compatible accessories and other devices.
Charging will be handled through a USB Type C port.
Large and Bright Display
The Poco X8 Power 5G is expected to feature a 6.83 inch display with peak HDR brightness reaching 3500 nits. This high brightness level could make the screen easier to view outdoors, particularly under strong sunlight.
The display is also expected to receive Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Poco appears to be positioning the phone as a durable device rather than focusing only on its battery capacity.
For additional protection against dust and water, the smartphone is expected to carry IP68 and IP69K ratings. These ratings would give the device stronger protection against demanding environmental conditions.
Snapdragon Chipset and Camera Setup
Performance on the Poco X8 Power 5G is expected to come from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset. The processor is designed for mid range 5G smartphones and should handle everyday applications, streaming and gaming.
The rear camera system could feature a 50 megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilisation. It may be accompanied by an 8 megapixel ultrawide camera, giving users a wider perspective for landscape and group photographs.
For selfies and video calls, the phone is expected to include a 32 megapixel front camera.
Long Software Support
Poco could also make software support one of the phone’s selling points. Reports suggest that the X8 Power 5G may receive four major Android upgrades along with security updates for up to six years.
If the company follows through with this commitment, the phone could remain relevant for a considerably longer period compared with devices that receive shorter update cycles.
Poco X8 5G Also Coming
Poco is not expected to stop with the Power model. The standard Poco X8 5G is also scheduled to launch in India on September 4.
The regular model is expected to use the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset as well. Reports suggest that it could feature a 9000mAh battery, which would still be considerably larger than batteries found in many smartphones in the same segment.
The X8 series therefore appears to be taking a clear battery first approach. While the Power model will be the headline device because of its 10000mAh capacity, the standard X8 5G could offer a similar experience with slightly different specifications.
For now, Poco has confirmed the launch date and some of the key highlights, but important details such as the exact price, storage options and complete specifications are still awaited. More information should become clear when the company officially unveils the Poco X8 Power 5G in India on September 4.
