Hyderabad resident Sridevi Vejella reportedly went missing in Nepal floods while returning from Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage after the immigration building was destroyed.
A Hyderabad woman, Sridevi Vejella, has reportedly gone missing after being caught in severe flooding in Nepal while returning from the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage.
Her husband, Deepak, said on Sunday that Sridevi was inside an immigration building when the incident occurred. According to him, the building was completely destroyed after floodwaters hit the area.
Sridevi had completed the Kailash Mansarovar pilgrimage and was on her way back when the disaster occurred. Her family is now awaiting information about her whereabouts as rescue efforts continue at the site.
Deepak said emergency teams have intensified search and rescue operations, with heavy machinery being used to clear the affected area and search for people who may still be trapped.
The incident has caused concern among Sridevi’s family and relatives, who are hoping for further information from the authorities as the rescue operation progresses.
