Honor 600S 5G Launched With 8100mAh Battery And IP69K Protection

Honor has added another affordable 5G smartphone to its lineup with the launch of the Honor 600S 5G. The new handset brings together a large battery, a high refresh rate display and several software features while keeping the focus on everyday use.

The smartphone has been launched in Hong Kong, where the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at HK$1,999, which is around Rs 15,600. It comes in Desert Gold, Misty Purple and Velvet Black colour options. The device can be purchased through Honor’s official website and selected retail outlets.

One of the biggest highlights is the 8100mAh battery. Honor has paired the large capacity cell with 45W wired charging. The company also claims that the battery can retain more than 80 percent of its original capacity even after five years, giving the handset a strong focus on long term battery usage.

Display And Performance

The Honor 600S 5G features a 6.87 inch TFT LCD display with a 1592 by 720 pixel resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and can reach a peak brightness of 1020 nits.

Honor has included DC dimming and dynamic dimming support, along with low blue light features and a dark mode. These additions are aimed at making the display more comfortable during regular use.

Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. The device is listed with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, while Honor’s RAM Turbo technology can provide up to 16GB of additional virtual memory.

The phone runs Android 16 with the company’s MagicOS 10 interface. This gives the device access to the latest software experience offered by Honor for this model.

50MP Camera Setup

Photography is handled by a 50MP primary rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture. The front of the phone houses a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls.

The rear camera system is designed for everyday photography, while video recording is supported at up to 1080p. Honor has also included several software based tools to add more functionality to the camera and overall user experience.

AI Features And Connectivity

The Honor 600S 5G comes with a collection of AI based features. These include AI Memory, Circle to Search, AI image removal and AI summary tools. The phone also includes an AI feature that can create video content from images.

For connectivity and convenience, the handset supports NFC and includes a side mounted fingerprint scanner. Stereo speakers are also part of the package, giving users a more immersive audio experience while watching videos or listening to music.

Durability is another area where Honor has given the phone considerable attention. The 600S 5G carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for resistance against dust and water. This makes the handset better suited to users who want additional protection from everyday environmental exposure.

The phone measures 168.3 by 78.54 by 8.30mm and weighs 216.5 grams. Its combination of a large battery, 120Hz screen, 5G connectivity and durability features gives the Honor 600S 5G a practical focus.

For now, the smartphone has been announced for the Hong Kong market. Honor has not yet provided the Indian launch details or confirmed whether the same configuration will be introduced in India. The company’s pricing and availability plans for other markets are therefore still awaited.
