Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged nations to strengthen trust based partnerships at the G7 Outreach Session while highlighting India’s role in sustainable development and global cooperation.

Modi at G7 Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the importance of trust driven partnerships while addressing the Outreach Session held alongside the G7 Summit in France. He said that many of the challenges facing the world today are not caused by a lack of resources but by a shortage of mutual trust among nations.

Speaking on the theme of building new partnerships and restoring international solidarity, Modi noted that confidence between countries has become one of the most valuable strategic assets in the modern world. According to him, the success of future global cooperation will largely depend on how effectively nations strengthen this trust.

The Prime Minister also highlighted India’s commitment to addressing global concerns through collaborative initiatives. He pointed to efforts such as the International Solar Alliance and Mission LiFE, which promote environmental protection and sustainable development on a global scale. He said India remains committed to contributing responsibly to solutions for international challenges.

Referring to the Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which views the world as one family, Modi called on nations to move beyond traditional donor recipient relationships. He stressed the need for partnerships based on equality, mutual respect, and shared dignity to create a more balanced and inclusive global order.

Modi further reaffirmed India’s support for the interests of developing nations. He stated that India continues to raise the concerns and aspirations of the Global South on international platforms and remains committed to ensuring that these countries receive fair representation in global governance structures.

On the sidelines of the summit, the Prime Minister held discussions with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and several other world leaders. The meetings focused on strengthening bilateral relations, expanding trade opportunities, and addressing key international security issues, reflecting India’s growing engagement in global affairs.
