Authorities said two teenage suspects entered the Islamic Center of San Diego and opened fire inside the premises, creating panic among worshippers and nearby residents.

According to police officials, three people lost their lives during the attack while the two teenage suspects were later found dead with severe injuries inside a vehicle parked near the mosque area. San Diego Police Chief Scott Wahl confirmed that investigators are examining the case from a possible hate crime angle.
