Vivo X Fold 6 Set to Arrive With 200MP Camera and Advanced Foldable Display Experience
Vivo is preparing to launch its next foldable smartphone featuring a powerful 200MP camera, large inner display, upgraded AI tools and a new chipset aimed at improving performance and multitasking experience

The foldable smartphone segment is heating up once again as Vivo gears up to introduce its new flagship device, the Vivo X Fold 6. The company has started revealing key details, and early information suggests that this device will focus heavily on camera innovation, display brightness and productivity features designed for power users.
One of the biggest highlights of the upcoming phone is its quad rear camera setup, led by a massive 200 megapixel primary sensor. The main camera is expected to feature an f1.68 aperture along with optical image stabilization, aiming to deliver sharp and stable images even in challenging lighting conditions. Alongside this, a 50 megapixel Sony LYT 602 periscope telephoto lens is also expected to enhance zoom capabilities.
The device is also expected to feature a large 8.02 inch foldable inner display, built using Samsung M14 luminous material. Vivo claims that the screen can reach a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits, making it one of the brightest panels in its category. The display has also reportedly received TÜV Rheinland certification, adding an extra layer of reliability in terms of quality standards.
On the software side, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to run on Android 16 based OriginOS 6 Fold. The company is focusing on improving multitasking through an upgraded Atomic Workbench, allowing users to run multiple apps simultaneously on a single screen. This is clearly aimed at professionals who rely on foldables for productivity on the go.
Under the hood, the smartphone is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset. This custom version has been developed in collaboration with MediaTek over nearly two years, specifically optimized for foldable devices. Reports suggest improvements in NPU performance, which could enhance AI based features and overall system efficiency.
Recent listings on certification platforms indicate that the device may house a dual cell battery setup with a combined typical capacity of around 6900 mAh. This suggests that Vivo is prioritizing long lasting battery life, which is crucial for large foldable displays and multitasking workloads throughout the day.
In terms of security, the device is likely to include a side mounted fingerprint sensor. While Vivo has not officially confirmed the launch date yet, the smartphone has already appeared on multiple databases, hinting that its release may not be far away.
The Vivo X Fold 6 will enter a competitive market where devices like the Oppo Find N6 and Honor Magic V6 are expected to be strong rivals. With foldable smartphones gaining steady popularity worldwide, brands are now pushing harder to combine premium hardware with smarter software experiences.
If Vivo delivers on these specifications, the X Fold 6 could become one of the most powerful foldable devices in its segment, especially for users looking for high end photography and multitasking performance in a single device.
