Samsung has officially rolled out excitement for its users by launching the One UI 9 beta program for the Galaxy S26 series. The update is based on Android 17 and brings a fresh set of features aimed at improving usability, customization, and overall performance. At present, the beta is available in select regions including South Korea, the United States, and India, with a wider release expected later.

The company has confirmed that Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra users will be the first to experience this new software. After the initial testing phase, Samsung is expected to extend the update to several other models, including popular Galaxy A series and foldable devices in the coming months.

A major highlight of this update is the redesigned Samsung Notes experience. Users will now see new creative tools such as decorative tape effects and updated pen line styles, making note taking more expressive. The Contacts app has also been improved with direct access to Creative Studio, allowing users to design personalized profile cards without switching between multiple apps.

Samsung has also worked on improving the Quick Panel interface. The new design allows users to control brightness, media, and sound more independently. It also introduces additional layout and size options, giving users more freedom to customize their control center. Along with this, the update brings smoother cursor movement through adjustable mouse key speed settings, improving navigation for connected devices.

Security has also received a major upgrade in One UI 9. The system is designed to detect high risk applications more effectively, block suspicious installations, and alert users about potential threats before they cause harm. This added layer of protection aims to make the user experience safer and more reliable in everyday use.

Looking at the expansion roadmap, Samsung plans to bring this update to a wider range of devices beyond the S26 series. Devices such as Galaxy A57, Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A17 5G, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and future foldable Ultra models are expected to receive the update gradually after the beta testing phase concludes.

Installing the update is a simple process for eligible users. They need to download the Samsung Members app, look for the One UI 9 beta banner, complete the registration, and then proceed to software update settings to download and install the new version.

In separate market news, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has also grabbed attention due to a significant price drop. Originally launched in India at a premium price, the 256GB variant is now listed on Flipkart at nearly half its launch cost. Additional bank offers further reduce the price, making it one of the most attractive flagship deals currently available in the market.
