Samsung Launches 2026 Odyssey OLED Gaming Monitors With 6K Display and 330Hz Refresh Rate Global Rollout Begins

Samsung unveils its 2026 Odyssey OLED gaming monitors and ViewFinity S8 lineup featuring 6K resolution, ultra high refresh rates, Thunderbolt 5 support and advanced display technology for gamers and professionals

Samsung has officially expanded its premium display portfolio with the global launch of its 2026 Odyssey gaming monitor series along with the updated ViewFinity S8 lineup. The new range highlights the company’s strong push toward ultra high resolution displays, faster refresh rates and next generation connectivity standards designed for both gamers and professional users.

The announcement introduces multiple models under the Odyssey G8 series along with a new Odyssey OLED G7 variant. Alongside these gaming focused displays, Samsung has also refreshed its productivity oriented ViewFinity S8 monitors. The company is emphasizing advanced features such as OLED panels, 6K resolution, Dual Mode refresh flexibility and support for cutting edge ports like DisplayPort 2.1 and Thunderbolt 5.

One of the key highlights is the 32 inch Odyssey G8 G80HS which features a 6K resolution display paired with a 165Hz refresh rate. Samsung has added a Dual Mode function that allows users to switch to 3K resolution and experience an ultra smooth 330Hz refresh rate. Another model, the 27 inch G80HF, offers 5K resolution with 180Hz refresh rate and can push up to 360Hz at QHD settings, making it suitable for fast paced competitive gaming.

Samsung has also expanded its OLED offerings with the Odyssey OLED G8 G80SH available in both 27 inch and 32 inch variants. This model uses a QD OLED panel delivering 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. The company has integrated glare free technology to reduce reflections and improve visibility during long usage sessions. It also supports USB Type C charging up to 98W and features advanced QD OLED Penta Tandem technology aimed at improving brightness levels and panel durability.

For esports and high performance gaming enthusiasts, Samsung has introduced the Odyssey OLED G7 G73SH. This 32 inch 4K OLED monitor supports a 165Hz refresh rate and includes a Dual Mode option that allows Full HD output at up to 330Hz. With an ultra low 0.03ms response time, the monitor is clearly designed for competitive gaming environments where speed and precision matter the most.

On the professional side, Samsung has upgraded its ViewFinity S8 lineup with models like the S85TH and S80HF. The S85TH features a large 40 inch curved WUHD display with 144Hz refresh rate and Thunderbolt 5 support offering up to 80Gbps data transfer and 140W charging. The S80HF model comes with a 5K display and USB Type C connectivity, targeting creators and productivity focused users who need sharp visuals and efficient multitasking capabilities.

Pricing details currently apply to the South Korean market. The Odyssey G8 G80HS 6K model is priced at approximately 1.12 lakh rupees, while the 5K G80HF version comes at around 72,000 rupees. The OLED G8 G80SH starts near 1.04 lakh rupees, and the OLED G7 is priced at roughly 82,000 rupees. The ViewFinity S8 S80UD model is positioned around 35,000 rupees. All newly launched monitors are currently available in South Korea, with a wider rollout expected in the coming months.
