Samsung Expands One UI 9 Testing With New AI Features and Wider Device Support

Samsung is moving closer to the release of its next major software upgrade as testing for One UI 9 continues to expand across a wider range of Galaxy smartphones and tablets. Based on Android 17, the upcoming update is expected to introduce a refreshed user experience along with several improvements focused on artificial intelligence, security and overall performance.

The company has steadily refined its software ecosystem over the past few years, and One UI 9 is expected to continue that approach. While flagship Galaxy S series and foldable devices are likely to receive the update first, Samsung is also planning a broader rollout that will eventually include selected midrange smartphones and premium tablets.

One of the biggest highlights of the new software is the integration of additional AI powered features. Users can expect smarter text suggestions, enhanced photo editing capabilities, AI based search functions and improved automation tools that make everyday tasks quicker and more convenient. Foldable models expected to be supported include the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8.

Samsung is also expected to extend support to several Galaxy A series smartphones, including the Galaxy A57, Galaxy A56, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A17, Galaxy A16 and the upcoming Galaxy A18. On the tablet side, the Galaxy Tab S12 Plus, Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S11, Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra are also likely to receive the software.

Although Samsung has not officially announced the complete rollout schedule, the expanding beta program indicates that the company is preparing for a wider release. More information about supported devices, final features and availability is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
