Redmi K90 Ultra Leak Reveals Snapdragon 8 Elite Chipset and Massive Battery With Advanced Cooling System

Upcoming Redmi smartphone is expected to bring flagship level performance with built in cooling fan large battery and high refresh OLED display aiming at gamers and power users in the premium mid range segment

Redmi is reportedly preparing to expand its K series lineup with the upcoming Redmi K90 Ultra, a smartphone that is already generating strong buzz due to several high end specifications revealed through leaks. The device is said to target heavy users and gamers with a focus on performance, cooling efficiency and long battery life. Although the company has not officially confirmed details, early reports suggest a significant upgrade over its predecessor.

Interestingly, one of the most talked about features is its thermal management system. According to leaks shared on microblogging platform Weibo, the device may include an integrated active cooling system with a built in fan. This setup is expected to help maintain stable performance during extended gaming sessions or heavy multitasking, reducing heat buildup inside the device.

On the performance front, the Redmi K90 Ultra is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This processor is likely to position the phone among the most powerful devices in its segment. Alongside this, the smartphone could feature a massive battery of at least 8000mAh, designed to support long hours of usage without frequent charging.

The display is also expected to be a major highlight. Reports suggest a 6.59 inch 1.5K LTPS OLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, offering smooth visuals and an immersive viewing experience. Earlier certification listings in China have also indicated support for 100W fast charging, which would significantly reduce charging time for such a large battery.

In terms of design and security, the smartphone may come with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a dual speaker system for improved audio output. These additions aim to enhance both usability and entertainment experience, especially for media consumption and gaming.

For reference, Redmi recently launched the K90 Max in China, which already showcases the brand’s focus on high performance devices. That model features a 6.83 inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor and a dual camera setup led by a 50 megapixel primary sensor. It also includes advanced cooling hardware and a dedicated graphics chip for gaming optimization.

The upcoming K90 Ultra is expected to take things even further with a larger 8550mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging and 22.5W reverse wired charging. Combined with dual speakers and an advanced cooling mechanism, the device is shaping up to be one of Redmi’s most ambitious smartphones in the performance category, especially as the brand continues to strengthen its position in the competitive mid range market.
