Oppo OnePlus Realme Fake Phone Factory Busted in Delhi

A major alert has been issued for smartphone buyers after authorities exposed a large scale fake mobile phone operation in Delhi. The racket was producing counterfeit devices of popular brands in a way that made them almost impossible to distinguish from original models at first glance.

The investigation led Delhi Police crime branch to Karol Bagh where two warehouses were found running illegal operations. According to officials, coordinated raids were conducted across multiple locations including Karol Bagh and Moti Nagar, resulting in the sealing of units and arrest of individuals involved in the network.

During the raids, police discovered that fake smartphones of Oppo OnePlus and Realme were being assembled and packed using branding that closely matched original packaging. In Moti Nagar, a separate unit was reportedly involved in producing packaging materials that made the counterfeit products look authentic when sold in the market.

The operation was not limited to a single site. Authorities identified a connected system involving warehouses and a printing press where labeling, packaging and final assembly of these fake phones took place. Around eight machines used in manufacturing and packing were seized during the crackdown, highlighting the scale of the illegal setup.

Officials have warned that these devices were being distributed in local markets as genuine products, making it extremely risky for unsuspecting buyers. Consumers are now being advised to carefully verify authenticity before purchasing smartphones, especially from unofficial sellers, to avoid falling victim to such frauds.
