Oppo A6c Takes On Samsung Galaxy M17 5G and Motorola G45 5G in Budget Smartphone Battle
The latest Oppo A6c enters the competitive under Rs 15000 segment with a huge battery, modern software and smooth display while facing strong rivals from Samsung and Motorola.

The budget smartphone market in India has become more competitive with the arrival of the new Oppo A6c. Positioned in the under Rs 15000 segment, the smartphone is competing directly with the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G and Motorola G45 5G. All three devices target users looking for reliable performance, long battery life and capable cameras without spending too much.
Oppo has focused heavily on battery performance with the A6c. The smartphone packs a massive 7000mAh battery, making it one of the biggest highlights of the device. It supports 15W wired charging and is aimed at users who need extended backup for gaming, streaming and daily multitasking. In comparison, both the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G and Motorola G45 5G come with 5000mAh batteries. Samsung supports faster 25W charging, while Motorola offers 20W charging support.
Display quality is another area where these phones try to stand apart. The Oppo A6c features a 6.75 inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 900 nits peak brightness. Motorola also offers a 120Hz display on the G45 5G with a slightly smaller 6.5 inch HD+ panel. Samsung, however, takes a different approach by offering a 6.7 inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, delivering sharper visuals and deeper colors.
When it comes to performance, each brand has chosen a different chipset strategy. The Oppo A6c is powered by the Unisoc T7250 processor, while Samsung has equipped the Galaxy M17 5G with its Exynos 1330 chipset. Motorola G45 5G runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor, which may appeal to users looking for balanced gaming and everyday performance.
Software also plays a major role in the buying decision. Oppo A6c ships with Android 15 based ColorOS 15, while Samsung Galaxy M17 5G runs on Android 15 with One UI 7. Motorola G45 5G comes with Android 14, which may feel slightly behind compared to the newer software offered by Oppo and Samsung.
Camera capabilities differ significantly across the three phones. Oppo A6c keeps things simple with a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. Samsung Galaxy M17 5G offers a more versatile setup that includes a 50 megapixel main sensor with OIS support, a 5 megapixel ultra wide lens and a 2 megapixel macro camera. Motorola G45 5G also features a 50 megapixel primary sensor paired with a 2 megapixel macro lens, while the front gets a higher resolution 16 megapixel selfie camera.
Pricing makes the competition even tighter. Oppo A6c starts at Rs 13999 for the 4GB and 64GB variant, while the higher storage option goes up to Rs 16999. Samsung Galaxy M17 5G is available in multiple RAM variants, with pricing starting from Rs 13999. Motorola G45 5G undercuts both rivals slightly with its 8GB and 128GB model priced at Rs 12999.
For users prioritizing battery backup, the Oppo A6c appears to be a strong option. Those looking for a premium display and versatile camera setup may prefer the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G, while Motorola G45 5G offers balanced specifications at an aggressive price point.
