Mivi One 5G Set to Launch in India With 50MP Dual Camera

Mivi is preparing to enter the Indian smartphone market with its first handset, the Mivi One 5G. The company has confirmed that the phone will be launched in India on September 24, marking a new step for a brand that has so far been mainly associated with audio products.

The upcoming smartphone has already appeared on a dedicated Flipkart landing page, confirming that the phone will be sold through the e commerce platform after launch. Mivi has also highlighted that the device will be manufactured in India.

The company is entering a highly competitive smartphone market, but it is attempting to differentiate itself through both hardware and after sales support. Along with the phone, Mivi has announced its Mivi Care+ service, which includes a standard one year warranty and a seven day replacement policy.

Mivi says the service will also provide doorstep pickup and return coverage across more than 19,000 PIN codes. Customers will be able to track service related information digitally through the Mivi Care+ application.

The service offering could become an important part of the company’s smartphone launch because Mivi is moving into a category where after sales support can influence the buying decision. The company has not previously been known as a smartphone manufacturer, making its first device a significant expansion beyond its established audio business.

On the hardware side, the Mivi One 5G will feature a dual camera system on the rear. The company has confirmed a 50MP primary sensor, while details about the second rear camera have not yet been revealed.

Images and teasers have already provided a look at the rear camera module. The setup features a pill shaped LED flash positioned alongside the camera arrangement, giving the phone a relatively simple rear design.

Performance will be handled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G platform. Mivi has confirmed the Snapdragon branding, but the exact chipset model has not yet been disclosed. More information about processor performance is expected during the launch event.

The smartphone will also carry a 6000mAh battery. The large battery capacity could appeal to users who prefer longer usage between charging sessions, although Mivi has not yet revealed the charging speed or other battery related specifications.

Storage capacity has also been confirmed. The Mivi One 5G will offer 128GB of internal storage. The company has not yet revealed how much RAM the phone will have or whether multiple RAM configurations will be available.

The device will use a flat mid frame and include a USB Type C port. Other specifications, including the display size, refresh rate, front camera and charging technology, are still awaiting official confirmation.

Software will be another part of the package, with the phone expected to run Android 16. Mivi has not yet provided a complete list of software features, so details about its user interface and additional software functions remain limited.

The phone will be available in three colours, Burgundy, Blue and Green. These colour options are expected to be offered through Flipkart when sales begin following the launch.

Mivi has not announced the official price yet. A report from Gadgets 360 has suggested that the handset could be positioned around the Rs 15,000 price segment, although this should not be treated as confirmed pricing until the company makes its announcement.

The final price will be particularly important because Mivi is entering a segment with numerous established smartphone brands. The combination of a Snapdragon 5G platform, 50MP camera, 6000mAh battery and 128GB storage could give the One 5G a clear specification focused identity if the pricing remains competitive.

The seven day replacement policy and wide service coverage could also help Mivi attract customers who may be unfamiliar with the company as a smartphone brand. Its existing reputation in audio products gives the company an established consumer presence, but smartphones represent a considerably different market.

The September 24 launch should reveal the remaining details, including the exact Snapdragon processor, RAM configurations, display specifications, charging capabilities and official price.
