Instagram Plus Arrives Offering Premium Features and Enhanced Story Control

Instagram has officially introduced Instagram Plus, a premium subscription tier aimed at users seeking more personalization, detailed content insights, and extra control over their stories and audience. While the standard Instagram experience will remain free, this new paid plan provides optional advanced tools for users who want to enhance their social media presence.

A major highlight of Instagram Plus is the Story Spotlight feature, which allows a user’s story to appear prominently in their friends’ feeds. Along with this, the Multiple Story Audiences feature lets users create several customized viewer lists for different people, expanding on the existing Close Friends functionality. Another addition, Story Extend, allows stories to remain live for up to 48 hours instead of the usual 24, giving content more visibility.

For those interested in engagement analytics, Instagram Plus introduces Story Rewatch Insights, showing how many times a story has been viewed again. Users can also leverage the Search Viewer List tool to quickly locate a specific account within the story viewers, making content tracking more convenient.

Instagram Plus also brings interactive features like Super Hearts, which adds animated heart reactions when interacting with friends’ stories, enhancing the overall engagement experience. The platform is positioning this as a way to make story interactions more lively and visually appealing.

Another notable tool is Story Preview, which allows subscribers to view stories without marking them as “seen.” This is particularly useful for users who want to check content discreetly without immediately engaging or interacting with it.
