Huawei MatePad Pro Max Launch Brings 50MP Camera and Massive 10400mAh Battery for Premium Tablet Users
Huawei has introduced its new flagship MatePad Pro Max tablet featuring a large OLED display, powerful battery options, advanced AI tools, and productivity focused accessories designed for work and entertainment users

Huawei has expanded its premium tablet lineup with the global launch of the Huawei MatePad Pro Max. The device is positioned as a high end productivity and entertainment tablet, combining a large immersive display, strong battery performance and desktop level software features for users who want a laptop like experience in a portable form.
The tablet comes with a 13.2 inch flexible OLED PaperMatte display that focuses on reducing reflections and eye strain while maintaining sharp visuals. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and offers up to 1600 nits peak brightness, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor usage. The PaperMatte finish adds a softer viewing experience, especially during long reading or editing sessions.
Powering the device is a large battery setup that varies by region, with up to 10400mAh capacity in global models and a slightly smaller 9760mAh unit in the EU version. Huawei also includes fast charging support with 66W wired charging and 40W reverse charging, allowing users to power other devices when needed. Despite the large battery, the tablet remains slim at just 4.7mm thickness and weighs around 499 grams, making it relatively easy to carry.
Performance and productivity are central to the MatePad Pro Max experience. It runs HarmonyOS 4.3 and supports up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage options. Huawei has also integrated PC style WPS Office tools that offer a desktop like interface for editing documents, spreadsheets and presentations. A live multitasking feature allows users to run up to three apps at the same time, making it suitable for professional workflows.
In terms of imaging, the tablet includes a 50 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and an f1.8 aperture, along with a 12 megapixel front camera for video calls and online meetings. This setup is designed more for utility and content capture rather than traditional photography, aligning with the device’s productivity focused identity.
Huawei has also strengthened the multimedia experience with a six speaker system tuned by Huawei Sound and a four microphone array for clearer voice capture. Connectivity options include WiFi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, USB Type C 3.1, GPS support and multiple global navigation systems, ensuring stable performance across different regions.
The MatePad Pro Max is compatible with accessories like the Huawei M Pencil Pro and the Glide Keyboard, turning the tablet into a near laptop replacement for many users. AI powered tools in Huawei Notes also help with handwriting correction, file imports and smart editing, adding another layer of convenience for students and professionals alike.
Pricing for the MatePad Pro Max starts at around 1399 euros for the 12GB and 256GB PaperMatte edition, with higher variants going up to 1649 euros depending on storage and keyboard bundle options. With this launch, Huawei continues to strengthen its position in the premium tablet segment focused on productivity driven users.
