Honor 600 Series Launches With Massive Batteries and 200MP Cameras

Honor has officially introduced its latest Honor 600 series smartphones in China, bringing several premium features to the upper mid range market. The new lineup includes the Honor 600 Super, Honor 600 Pro and Honor 600 Vitality Edition. With powerful hardware, large batteries and high resolution cameras, the company is clearly aiming to attract users looking for flagship like features without entering the ultra premium segment.

One of the biggest highlights of the series is the massive battery capacity. Honor has equipped the Honor 600 Super with an enormous 8600mAh battery, while the Honor 600 Pro packs an 8000mAh battery. These battery sizes are significantly larger than what is commonly seen in modern smartphones and are expected to deliver excellent backup for gaming, streaming and daily multitasking.

The phones also support fast charging technology. The Honor 600 Super comes with 80W SuperCharge fast charging support, while the Pro variant additionally offers 50W wireless charging support. Both models support 27W reverse charging, allowing users to charge other compatible devices directly from the smartphone.

Honor has also focused heavily on display quality. Both the Honor 600 Super and Honor 600 Pro feature a 6.57 inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gaming performance. According to the company, the display supports up to 8000 nits peak brightness along with 3840Hz PWM dimming for improved eye comfort. The panels also offer full DCI P3 color gamut coverage, promising vibrant and accurate visuals.

Photography is another area where the new series stands out. The smartphones feature a 200 megapixel primary rear camera designed for high detail photography. Alongside it, users get a 12 megapixel ultra wide camera for landscape and group shots. The Honor 600 Pro additionally includes a 50 megapixel telephoto portrait camera with Optical Image Stabilization support for improved zoom photography and stable portrait shots.

For selfie enthusiasts, both phones include a 50 megapixel front camera capable of recording 4K videos. The company appears to be targeting content creators and social media users with its strong camera setup and advanced imaging features.

Performance wise, the Honor 600 Super is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, while the Honor 600 Pro uses the newly introduced MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Elite chipset. Both smartphones are available with 12GB and 16GB RAM options and offer storage configurations up to 512GB. The series runs on Android 16 based MagicOS 10.0.

The pricing of the new lineup starts at CNY 2699, which is roughly Rs 37800, for the Honor 600 Vitality Edition with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Honor 600 Super starts at around Rs 46200, while the Honor 600 Pro begins at approximately Rs 54600 for the 12GB and 256GB version. The top end 16GB and 512GB variant of the Pro model is priced close to Rs 65800.

Honor says sales of the Honor 600 Super and Honor 600 Pro will begin in China from May 29, while the Vitality Edition will go on sale starting June 3.

The company has also included several premium connectivity and durability features in the series. The smartphones support 5G, Wi Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type C connectivity. For security, the Honor 600 Super uses an in display optical fingerprint scanner, while the Pro model gets a more advanced ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.

Durability has also received attention, as both smartphones come with IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance. With a combination of huge batteries, advanced displays and high resolution cameras, the Honor 600 series enters the market as one of the most feature packed smartphone lineups in its category.
