Government Offers Free Cyber Security Course with Certificate in Just 2.5 Hours Know How to Apply

The government has launched a free online cyber security course designed to teach digital safety basics fraud prevention awareness skills and safe internet usage with a certificate after completion

With the rapid rise of online fraud cases across India, digital safety has become more important than ever. From fake KYC messages and phishing emails to scam calls, fake job offers, and malicious WhatsApp links, cybercriminals are constantly finding new ways to target users. In many situations, people lose their savings within minutes of falling for such traps.

To address this growing concern, the Government of India has introduced a free online Cyber Security course that can be completed in just about 2.5 hours. One of the most attractive features of this initiative is that participants will also receive a certificate upon successful completion, making it both educational and rewarding.

The course has been developed by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, known as I4C, which operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs. According to officials, the main goal of this program is to improve digital awareness and help citizens recognize and avoid cyber threats in everyday life. It is open to everyone, including students, working professionals, government employees, and senior citizens.

Interestingly, the timing of this initiative comes when cyber fraud techniques are becoming more advanced and harder to detect. Criminals often attempt to steal OTPs, banking credentials, and personal data through deceptive messages and calls. The course aims to build strong awareness so that users can identify such tricks before becoming victims.

Participants will be guided through important topics such as protecting personal data, identifying fake links, avoiding scam calls, and safely using social media and digital payment platforms. The training also explains identity theft, online banking fraud, and methods to stay safe from evolving cyber threats.

Another key focus of the program is building safe digital habits in daily life. Officials highlight that even small precautions can significantly reduce the risk of online fraud. The course encourages users to stay alert and understand the warning signs of suspicious online activity.

As shared in official posts on social media platform X, the entire program is designed to be simple and accessible, allowing anyone to complete it online in a short duration. After finishing the course, participants receive a digital certificate, which adds value to their learning.

Authorities have also urged citizens to not only complete the course themselves but also share awareness with family and friends, helping create a more digitally safe society.
