Apple May Raise iPhone Prices, iPhone 18 Pro Could Cost ₹10,000 More
Apple may increase iPhone prices as memory and storage costs continue rising, with the iPhone 18 Pro reportedly facing a possible price increase in India soon.

Buying a new iPhone could become more expensive if Apple moves ahead with a planned price revision. Rising memory and storage component costs are reportedly putting pressure on the company, with the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro emerging as one of the models most likely to see a noticeable increase.
According to reports citing Bloomberg, Apple is considering higher prices as component expenses continue to climb. The company has not officially announced any price increase or confirmed when new pricing would take effect.
The possible revision comes at a time when memory components are becoming more expensive because of growing demand from artificial intelligence data centres. Smartphone makers are facing higher costs as demand for advanced memory and storage hardware continues to rise.
iPhone 18 Pro could see a major increase
The iPhone 18 Pro is currently at the centre of the pricing discussion. Reports suggest that its starting price in the United States could rise from around 1,099 dollars to approximately 1,199 dollars. That would represent an increase of about 100 dollars.
The impact could be more noticeable in India because of local pricing, taxes and other costs. An India Today report has suggested that the iPhone price increase in India could reach around ₹10,000 for the iPhone 18 Pro.
However, the final Indian price has not been confirmed by Apple. The actual increase could also differ between storage variants.
Why are iPhone prices expected to rise?
Memory and storage costs are believed to be the main reason behind the possible increase. AI development has led to huge investments in data centres, creating additional demand for memory related components.
That growing demand can influence supply and pricing across the electronics industry. Apple has already faced higher component costs in other product categories.
The company previously increased prices for some Mac and iPad models in June 2026, with rising memory and storage expenses cited among the factors behind the changes. Apple CEO Tim Cook has also discussed the effect of higher memory costs on the company.
With those pressures continuing, the iPhone could be the next major Apple product category to feel the impact.
Will only the iPhone 18 Pro become expensive?
At present, there is no official confirmation that the iPhone 18 Pro will be the only model affected. Apple has also not announced which markets or configurations would receive revised pricing.
If the company decides to make broader adjustments, several other iPhone models could potentially be affected. Reports have mentioned the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max among the devices that could see changes.
It is also unclear whether older iPhone 16 series models would receive any price adjustment. Apple could choose to maintain current prices for older devices or revise them depending on market conditions and inventory.
Apple has not yet confirmed the reported increase, so buyers should treat the current figures as estimates rather than final prices.
For customers planning to upgrade soon, the possibility of higher prices could make the timing of a purchase more important. However, waiting for Apple’s official announcement will be the safest way to know exactly how much the new iPhones will cost.
