Amazon Launches Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio in India With Powerful Bass and Dolby Atmos Support
Amazon has introduced Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio in India featuring upgraded bass Dolby Atmos smart home control Alexa integration advanced chips and improved audio performance for users

Amazon has expanded its smart speaker lineup in India with the launch of Echo Dot Max and Echo Studio. The company aims to enhance the smart home experience by combining powerful audio performance with advanced voice assistant features. Both devices are designed to deliver richer sound quality while also making home automation more seamless and intuitive.
The Echo Dot Max has been positioned as a major upgrade over the previous generation Echo Dot. Amazon claims it delivers nearly three times more bass compared to the Echo Dot 5th Gen. On the other hand, the Echo Studio is designed for a premium audio experience with Dolby Atmos support and spatial audio technology. Both models come integrated with Alexa and are powered by Amazon’s new AZ3 series chips, improving responsiveness and voice detection.
Interestingly, Amazon has also focused heavily on design and user experience. The Echo Dot Max comes in Graphite, Amethyst, and Glacier White color options and is priced at 10,999 rupees. The Echo Studio is available in Graphite and Glacier White finishes with a price tag of 23,999 rupees. Customers can purchase both devices through Amazon India and Flipkart.
From a technical perspective, the Echo Dot Max features a dual speaker setup with a large woofer for deep bass and a dedicated tweeter for clearer sound output. This combination is intended to create a more balanced and room filling audio experience. Meanwhile, the Echo Studio takes it further with a larger woofer and three full range drivers designed to create a surround sound like effect, all packed in a compact spherical design with fabric finish.
Smart home integration remains a key highlight of both devices. Users can control lights, appliances, and other connected devices using simple voice commands. Alexa support allows tasks such as playing music, setting alarms, checking weather updates, and managing daily routines. The speakers also support major streaming platforms including Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music, JioSaavn, and Audible.
Another notable upgrade is Amazon’s Omnisense technology, which helps the devices understand environmental changes like movement and temperature. This enables smarter automation and more personalized responses. Both speakers support multiple connectivity standards such as Wi Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Matter, and Thread, making them compatible with a wide range of smart home ecosystems.
Performance improvements are driven by Amazon’s AZ3 chip in the Echo Dot Max and the more advanced AZ3 Pro processor in the Echo Studio. According to the company, these chips significantly improve Alexa’s speed and accuracy in understanding voice commands. Users can even connect the devices with Fire TV Stick to create a home theater style setup.
Privacy has also been given importance in this generation of devices. Both speakers include a microphone off button, and users can manage or delete voice recordings through the Alexa app. Amazon has also confirmed that the devices are ready for future Alexa+ integration, which will bring generative AI capabilities once launched in India.
