Revanth On PRC: Revanth Reddy Reaffirms PRC Promise and Calls for Greater Employee Support

Revanth On PRC: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has assured Telangana government employees that the state will fulfil its promise of implementing a new Pay Revision Commission. Addressing employees at a programme in Hyderabad, he said the government remains committed to resolving their concerns while also seeking their cooperation in strengthening the state’s financial position.

The Chief Minister appealed to employees to dedicate an additional hour of work every day and focus on improving government revenue. He said preventing tax evasion and ensuring better revenue collection would help the government meet employee demands as well as expand welfare and development programmes across Telangana.

During the event, the Telangana government signed Memorandums of Understanding with sixteen banks to provide free accident insurance worth Rs 1 crore for government employees. Revanth Reddy said the insurance scheme reflects the government’s responsibility towards its workforce and will provide financial security to employees’ families during unexpected situations.

He praised Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka for successfully implementing a similar insurance programme for Singareni workers and said that experience encouraged the government to extend the benefit to all state employees through discussions with banking institutions.

Highlighting the contribution of government staff, the Chief Minister said employees have played a key role in implementing welfare programmes including Indiramma houses, improved education from nursery to Class 12, student breakfast schemes, free bus travel for women, and several public service initiatives. He said these achievements would not have been possible without their support.

Revanth Reddy also criticised the previous government over the state’s financial condition, alleging that Telangana was left with a heavy debt burden. He said despite financial challenges, his administration has ensured salaries are credited on the first day of every month and has recruited around seventy thousand government employees since assuming office.

The Chief Minister defended ongoing infrastructure projects, including Musi River rejuvenation and Metro Rail expansion, saying they are essential for the state’s future growth. He added that the government is working with a long term vision to transform Telangana into a one trillion dollar economy by 2034 and expand further in the years ahead.

Ending his speech on a personal note, Revanth Reddy said he prefers being called Revanth Anna rather than by his official designation. He described government employees as the bridge between the administration and the people and expressed confidence that their support would help Telangana continue its development journey.
