The Paradise Gets A Certificate Ahead of September 24 Release
The Paradise has completed censorship with an A certificate and a nearly three hour runtime, with the makers confirming changes to several intense violence scenes.
Natural Star Nani’s upcoming action drama The Paradise, directed by Srikanth Odela, has completed its censor formalities ahead of its theatrical release. The film has been awarded an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
The certification comes as little surprise to Nani, who had earlier said that he expected the film to receive an A certificate because of its intense and violent content. He also acknowledged that the movie may not be suitable for children and family audiences, while making it clear that he wants to explore different genres as an actor.
The film has a reported runtime of 2 hours, 54 minutes and 4 seconds, making it one of the longer releases in Nani’s recent lineup. According to censor details, the board suggested around 21 cuts or modifications, reportedly involving scenes with strong violence.
The makers announced the completion of the censor process with a new poster. The message on the poster highlights the film’s emotional side while making it clear that its brutal and intense presentation is intended for adult audiences.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise is presented as a period action drama with a raw and rustic backdrop. Nani leads the cast, while Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead. Mohan Babu, Raghav Juyal and Sonali Kulkarni are also part of the film in important roles.
Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner, the movie has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The Paradise is scheduled to arrive in theatres worldwide on September 24.
