AP Telangana Rain Alert: Low Pressure Effect Brings Three Days of Rain to AP and Telangana
The weather department has forecast moderate to heavy rain across several districts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana over the next three days due to a low pressure system.

AP Telangana Rain Alert: The weather system over the Bay of Bengal is expected to keep conditions unsettled across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana over the coming days. The India Meteorological Department has forecast rain in several parts of both states under the influence of the monsoon trough and a low pressure system.
In Andhra Pradesh, the North Coastal region and Yanam are likely to receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers at some places on Thursday and Friday. Conditions may become more active on Saturday, with thunderstorms and strong winds reaching speeds of around 40 to 50 kmph in some areas.
The South Coastal Andhra region is also expected to experience changing weather. Scattered light to moderate showers are possible on Thursday, while thunderstorms and lightning may occur in some areas on Friday and Saturday. Gusty winds of around 40 to 50 kmph are also possible during periods of rain.
Rayalaseema is not expected to remain completely dry either. The weather department has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places during the next three days. Strong winds of around 40 to 50 kmph may accompany some of the showers.
The forecast for Telangana also points to scattered rainfall. Several districts could receive light to moderate showers on Thursday and Friday. On Saturday, similar rainfall is likely at isolated locations across the state.
Some parts of Telangana may also experience thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds. Wind speeds could touch around 30 to 40 kmph during these weather events, according to the forecast.
The weather conditions are linked to the monsoon trough extending across several parts of the country and the low pressure system over and around central India. Its influence is expected to keep moisture levels high over the Telugu states.
People in areas likely to experience thunderstorms and strong winds are advised to remain cautious, particularly during outdoor travel. The weather may change quickly in some districts, so residents should keep an eye on local weather updates over the next few days.
