Sircilla Furniture Warehouse Fire:

A major fire at a furniture warehouse in Sircilla district turned tragic after a worker was found dead inside the building. The deceased was identified as Mohammed Islam, who was reportedly from Uttar Pradesh.

The fire broke out at the Mahalakshmi Furniture warehouse, where several workers were staying. Three workers who were sleeping inside managed to get out safely as the flames spread through the premises.

People in the surrounding area noticed thick smoke coming from the warehouse and alerted the police and fire department. Firefighters rushed to the spot and began efforts to bring the situation under control.

The blaze spread quickly through the furniture and other stored materials. Initial information suggests that goods worth nearly Rs 80 lakh may have been destroyed in the incident.

As the fire intensified, firefighters had difficulty entering the warehouse because of the heavy smoke and flames. Parts of the warehouse wall were broken using machinery to make it easier for the fire crews to reach the affected area.

Three fire engines were deployed to fight the blaze. Officials continued cooling operations and checked the premises for any remaining hotspots.

Fortunately, the warehouse was located away from nearby residential houses, so the fire did not spread to surrounding homes. This helped prevent the incident from causing further damage in the neighbourhood.

A short circuit is suspected to have triggered the fire, although the exact cause has not yet been confirmed. Police and fire officials are expected to examine the site and determine how the incident started.
