Nepali Women Found Dead in Bengaluru After Families Opposed Their Relationship

Two young women from Nepal were found dead in Bengaluru after reportedly facing opposition to their relationship and their decision to build a life together. The incident has drawn attention as police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding their deaths.

The women, identified as Sirijan and Reeta, were relatives and had known each other since their school days. They studied at the same school in their hometown in Nepal and remained close over the years.

According to the preliminary information, the two had decided to stay together without getting married. Their relationship reportedly faced criticism from people around them, while family elders from both sides also tried to convince them to reconsider their decision.

The women had moved to Bengaluru around a month ago and were staying separately in paying guest accommodations with assistance from relatives living in the city. Despite living separately, they reportedly remained in contact with each other.

Their bodies were later found near a hotel in the Jakkur area along Ballari Road. Police initiated an investigation and completed the postmortem examinations on Friday as part of the process to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.

Investigators from Yelahanka police station have reportedly recovered a note in which the women expressed their distress over the lack of acceptance for their relationship and their inability to live together. Police are examining the contents of the note along with other available evidence.
