Telangana Launches NextGen Dial 112 With 18 Emergency Services Under One Number
Telangana has introduced the NextGen Dial 112 system integrating eighteen emergency services with artificial intelligence faster response times and automatic location tracking for public safety.

Telangana has rolled out the NextGen Dial 112 Emergency Response Support System, replacing multiple emergency helpline numbers with a single unified platform. Citizens can now access a wide range of emergency services through one number, making emergency assistance faster and more convenient.
The new system was officially launched by Director General of Police CV Anand at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre. Instead of remembering separate numbers for police, ambulance and fire services, people can now dial 112 to receive immediate assistance from multiple government departments.
Officials said the integrated platform connects 18 essential emergency services, including police, ambulance, fire and rescue, women safety, child helpline, disaster management, electricity services, GHMC, HYDRA and NRI assistance, among others. The initiative aims to provide a single point of contact for all major emergencies across the state.
One of the key features of the upgraded system is its automatic location tracking technology. As soon as a call is received, the caller’s location is identified instantly, allowing the nearest emergency response team to be alerted without delay. This significantly reduces the time required to dispatch assistance.
The platform also uses Artificial Intelligence based call management, enabling operators to process calls more efficiently and immediately forward information to the appropriate department. According to officials, the upgraded technology is expected to reduce emergency response time from around three or four minutes to nearly two minutes in many cases.
Telangana Police also revealed that future upgrades may include drone assisted emergency response, allowing aerial support during disasters, accidents and other critical situations. Authorities believe this will further improve coordination during large scale emergencies.
DGP CV Anand said the system has been developed in line with the Central Government’s vision of establishing a single national emergency number. The Dial 112 service will operate 24 hours a day throughout the year, helping improve public safety, crime response and emergency management across Telangana.
