Telangana Nears Completion of Bharat Future City Master Plan Ahead of Global Summit

Telangana is moving closer to unveiling one of its most ambitious urban development projects as the Bharat Future City master plan enters its final stage. Designed to position the state as a global destination for investment and innovation, the blueprint is expected to be officially presented during the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2026 scheduled for December.

Spread across nearly thirty thousand acres, the proposed Future City is being planned as a next generation urban ecosystem that combines advanced infrastructure with industrial growth, education, research and sustainable development. An international consultancy from Singapore has been entrusted with preparing the comprehensive master plan.

The project is envisioned as a hub for high value industries and multinational companies. Dedicated zones are being planned for Global Capability Centres, life sciences, research facilities, commercial districts, residential areas and innovation ecosystems. Officials say the city is being designed to meet future business requirements while offering modern connectivity and environmentally sustainable infrastructure.

A major highlight of the development is the Young India Skills University, where construction is progressing rapidly. The institution is expected to become a key centre for industry oriented education by equipping students with skills aligned to emerging employment opportunities and strengthening collaboration between academia and businesses.

The government also plans to establish a specialized Global Capability Centre hub within the project. Building on Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a preferred destination for international companies, the initiative aims to attract Fortune 500 businesses by offering premium office spaces, research facilities and a strong startup ecosystem.

Infrastructure development is also gathering pace around the proposed Life Sciences Hub, with improved road connectivity and modern utilities being developed to support pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical technology industries. Officials believe these facilities will help attract large scale domestic and international investments.

State authorities are confident that once completed, Bharat Future City will transform Telangana into a major global business and innovation destination. The project is expected to generate substantial employment, strengthen economic growth and enhance the state’s position as a leading investment hub in India.
