Teen Issues Public Apology After Remarks Against Prime Minister Narendra Modi
A teenager facing legal action over controversial remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a public apology video expressing regret and requesting forgiveness from the people of India.

A teenager facing legal action over controversial remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a student protest has released a public apology through social media. In the video, the girl expressed deep regret over her comments and appealed to the public to forgive her for what she described as a serious mistake.
With folded hands, she said she was only 15 years old and acknowledged that her words were inappropriate. She stated that she was ashamed of her actions and requested that people treat the incident as her first and last mistake. The teenager also claimed that she had been influenced by others while making the remarks.
The apology surfaced shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi publicly responded to the controversy. In a video message, he said he had forgiven the young protesters for their comments and urged the public to show compassion instead of anger, describing them as children who deserved an opportunity to learn from their mistakes.
The incident originated during a student demonstration at Jantar Mantar over the alleged NEET examination paper leak. A video showing offensive remarks directed at the Prime Minister circulated widely on social media, leading police to register a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The matter was later transferred to Parliament Street Police Station in Delhi for further investigation.
The apology video has since gained widespread attention online. However, officials have not yet confirmed whether the individual appearing in the video is the same person named in the police case. Authorities continue to investigate the matter while verifying all available evidence.
The case has sparked discussion on social media regarding public protests, responsible expression and the role of minors in politically sensitive incidents. Further action will depend on the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
