Revanth Reddy Calls for Stronger TOMCOM to Expand Overseas Employment Opportunities

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to further strengthen the Telangana Overseas Manpower Company to improve employment opportunities for youth seeking jobs abroad. He said the organization should provide comprehensive support, beginning with passport assistance and extending to placements in international companies.

During a review meeting on the Shakti initiatives held at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute, the Chief Minister emphasized the need to build a stronger ecosystem for skill development and overseas employment. He asked officials to ensure that TOMCOM becomes a reliable platform for aspiring candidates throughout their employment journey.

Revanth Reddy also instructed officials to establish a dedicated research center at the Young India Skill University to encourage innovation and develop industry focused training programs. He stressed that the institution should play a key role in preparing students for emerging global job markets.

To improve the employability of students, the Chief Minister proposed setting up a special wing for foreign language education at the Skill University. He also directed officials to create internship opportunities for students studying in government engineering colleges by connecting them with leading companies.

The Chief Minister further recommended introducing specialized courses on electric vehicles and drone technology in Advanced Technology Centres to match evolving industry requirements. He also called for granting approvals to more nursing colleges in line with increasing demand for healthcare professionals in domestic and international markets.

Labour Minister Vivek Venkataswamy and senior government officials attended the review meeting, where strategies to strengthen Telangana’s skill development framework and overseas employment initiatives were discussed.
