BRS leader and former Narsampet MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy passed away after five days of intensive treatment following a cardiac arrest leaving party workers and supporters in deep grief.

Former Narsampet MLA and BRS leader Peddi Sudarshan Reddy passed away late Thursday night after battling for five days in hospital following a cardiac arrest. He was 52. Doctors at Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad confirmed that he breathed his last at 12.50 am despite continuous medical care.

Sudarshan Reddy was initially rushed to a private hospital in Hanamkonda on July 26 after experiencing severe chest pain at his residence. During treatment, doctors found that he had suffered a cardiac arrest. After nearly an hour of emergency efforts and multiple rounds of CPR, his heartbeat was restored before he was shifted to Yashoda Hospital for advanced treatment.

A team of specialists placed him on ventilator support, but his condition remained critical. According to doctors, prolonged oxygen deprivation caused severe brain damage, which was confirmed through medical examinations including ECG and brain MRI scans. He never regained consciousness during his treatment.

His death has brought sorrow to BRS workers and residents of the Narsampet constituency, where he had built a strong political presence over the years. Party leaders and supporters expressed grief over the loss of a leader who remained closely connected with the people.

Born on August 6, 1974, in a farming family in Nallabelli mandal of the erstwhile Warangal district, Sudarshan Reddy entered public life through grassroots politics. He began his political journey with the Congress before joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, now known as the BRS, in 2001.

He was elected as Nallabelli ZPTC member in the same year and later served as Chairman of the State Civil Supplies Corporation in 2015. In the 2018 Assembly elections, he won from the Narsampet constituency and entered the Telangana Legislative Assembly, marking a significant milestone in his political career.
