Annamayya Tahsildar Found Dead in Suspected Suicide Case
An inquiry has been initiated after an Annamayya district revenue official was found dead on Thursday, with authorities examining the circumstances surrounding the incident and related official records.
A Tahsildar serving in the Public Grievance Redressal System wing at the Annamayya District Collectorate was found dead on Thursday evening in what police are investigating as a suspected suicide. Railway Police have registered a case and are conducting further inquiries.
The deceased, identified as Srinivasulu, had served in different revenue assignments within the district over the past few years. During the 2024 elections, he worked as Tahsildar in Ramapuram before being transferred to Lakkireddypalli and later assigned to sections at the District Collectorate.
According to officials, administrative complaints received through the public grievance system had earlier resulted in a departmental inquiry. Following the review, changes were made to his posting, and he was subsequently assigned to the PGRS wing.

Sources said another departmental report related to the allegations against him had recently been forwarded to the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration for further examination. Authorities have not linked the inquiry to the incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Officials also said Srinivasulu had been on medical leave in recent days while receiving treatment for health related issues. His wife, who serves as the MPDO of Sadum mandal, was also reportedly on medical leave. The family includes a daughter pursuing higher education in the United States and a son studying in Class 10.
Police said the exact circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated, and further action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry.
