Gold Prices Jump Sharply as Rising Global Tensions Push Precious Metals Higher
Gold and silver prices climbed significantly on Wednesday as global uncertainty and rising crude oil prices influenced market sentiment increasing the cost of precious metals across major Indian cities.

Gold buyers received an unpleasant surprise on Wednesday as prices of the yellow metal registered a sharp increase across major cities. Market analysts attribute the latest surge to rising geopolitical tensions and higher crude oil prices, which have strengthened demand for safe haven assets such as gold.
The upward movement in international markets has also impacted domestic bullion prices. Financial experts say continued uncertainty in global markets has encouraged investors to shift towards gold, resulting in higher retail prices across the country.
In Hyderabad, the price of 24 carat gold rose by Rs 2290 in a single day, taking the rate for 10 grams to Rs 146510. Meanwhile, 22 carat gold gained Rs 2100, with 10 grams trading at Rs 134300.
The same gold prices were reported in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam, where both 22 carat and 24 carat rates remained in line with those seen in Hyderabad.
Silver prices also recorded a notable increase. In Hyderabad, one kilogram of silver was priced at Rs 240000 after rising by Rs 5000 in a day. In Chennai, silver climbed to Rs 245000 per kilogram, compared with Rs 240000 on the previous trading day.
Bullion market observers believe gold prices could remain volatile if global tensions continue and crude oil prices stay elevated. Buyers planning to purchase gold may prefer to keep a close watch on daily price movements before making a decision, as market conditions continue to change.
