Man Arrested After Alleged Assault on Minor Schoolgirl in Hyderabad
Hyderabad police arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor schoolgirl after allegedly taking her to a park. A POCSO case has been registered and investigation continues.
Police have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor schoolgirl in Hyderabad, following an incident reported in the Sanathnagar area. The case is currently under investigation after a complaint was filed by the victim’s family.
According to police, the girl was travelling to school when the accused allegedly forced her onto his motorcycle. He then reportedly took her to a nearby park, where the alleged assault took place.
The incident came to light after the child’s mother approached the police and lodged a formal complaint. Officers immediately began an inquiry and registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act based on the allegations.
Police have confirmed that the accused has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Investigators are continuing to collect evidence and record statements as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities said the identity of the minor is being protected in accordance with the law and assured that the investigation will proceed through the legal process.
