Fire at Plastic Godown Spreads to Nearby Houses in Hyderabad’s Meerpet

A major fire created panic in Hyderabad’s Meerpet area after flames engulfed a plastic godown and rapidly spread to nearby residential buildings. The incident occurred in Nandanavanam, where firefighters launched a swift operation to prevent the blaze from causing further destruction.

According to officials, the fire started inside the plastic godown before extending to neighbouring houses within a short time. Thick smoke and rapidly spreading flames alarmed local residents, many of whom rushed out of their homes as emergency services reached the location.

After receiving the alert, the Fire and Rescue Services department dispatched three fire engines to the scene. Firefighters worked continuously to contain the blaze and stop it from spreading to additional structures in the locality.

Although the fire caused heavy damage to the godown and affected adjoining properties, officials confirmed that no injuries or loss of life were reported. Their timely response helped prevent the incident from turning into a larger tragedy.
