Badrinath Dham Donation Allegations Under Scanner

Fresh allegations of donation misuse have surfaced at Badrinath Dham, prompting the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee to launch an official investigation. The development comes shortly after similar allegations related to donations at the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya drew public attention.

BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said the committee has taken the claims circulating on social media seriously and has directed the formation of an inquiry committee to conduct a detailed investigation into the matter. He stressed that the temple administration is committed to ensuring complete transparency.

Notices Issued to Staff

As part of the investigation, notices have been served to the employees linked to the allegations, asking them to submit their explanations. Dwivedi also dismissed reports claiming that the accused individual was his personal secretary. He clarified that the person is only a regular employee of the temple committee and has no personal association with him.

CCTV Footage and Evidence to Be Examined

BKTC Chief Executive Officer Sohan Singh Rangad said the inquiry committee will review all available evidence, including CCTV footage and statements from those connected to the case. The committee will submit its findings after completing a comprehensive examination of the allegations.

He assured that if the accusations are found to be true, no individual responsible will be spared. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty.

Legal Action if Irregularities Are Confirmed

Temple authorities stated that any confirmed irregularities will be dealt with under the Shri Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee Act, 1939, along with applicable employee conduct rules. Officials also appealed to the public not to circulate misleading information until the investigation is completed and the facts are officially established.
