LPG Tanker Fire: A tragic accident involving an LPG tanker claimed four lives after a massive fire broke out near a toll plaza in Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred in the Kokhraj police station limits of Kaushambi district and has drawn widespread attention after videos of the explosion surfaced online.
According to officials, two LPG tankers were travelling from Kanpur to Varanasi when they approached the Shihori Toll Plaza. One of the tankers reportedly lost control and crashed into the divider near the toll plaza, leading to a major gas leak.
Within moments, the leaked LPG spread across the surrounding area like a dense cloud, reducing visibility and creating a highly dangerous situation. The gas soon ignited, triggering a massive blaze that engulfed the toll plaza and caused extensive damage.
The tanker driver, identified as Dharmendra Dwivedi, was among the four people who lost their lives in the incident. Authorities said another LPG tanker had crossed the toll plaza just moments before the accident. Officials believe the disaster could have been even more severe if both tankers had been caught in the fire.
Emergency teams rushed to the spot to control the flames and secure the area, while an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the crash.
