Jagan Alleges Voter Conspiracy: YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged that the Special Intensive Revision, known as the SIR exercise, is being misused to manipulate the electoral process in Andhra Pradesh. Addressing a media conference in Tadepalli, he claimed that the voter verification drive was being carried out in a manner that could deprive thousands of eligible citizens of their voting rights.

Jagan alleged that large scale irregularities were taking place during the voter enumeration process. According to him, names of eligible voters were being removed from electoral rolls without properly distributing or collecting the required verification forms. He expressed concern that such practices could directly affect poor and vulnerable sections of society.

The former Chief Minister also accused members of the ruling Telugu Desam Party of using a dedicated mobile application to influence voter registrations. He claimed that supporters of the ruling party were being added to the voter list while the names of those opposed to the government were allegedly being removed.

During the press conference, Jagan played an audio recording that he claimed was a conversation involving Minister Narayana and a municipal commissioner. He alleged that the recording reflected political pressure being exerted on officials involved in the voter registration process.

Calling the issue a serious threat to democratic values, Jagan urged the authorities to ensure that the voter verification process remains transparent and impartial. He also questioned whether the alleged removal of voters could affect their access to government welfare schemes, stressing that every eligible citizen must be allowed to exercise the right to vote without discrimination.
