China Border Claims: Fresh China Border Intrusion Claims Raise Tensions in Arunachal Pradesh

China Border Claims: Fresh concerns have emerged along the India China border after tribal representatives in Arunachal Pradesh alleged that Chinese personnel have expanded their presence in several areas close to the frontier. The allegations have renewed calls for an official verification of the situation.

The Nah Welfare Society has submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Upper Subansiri district, claiming that Chinese activities have gradually increased over the past several years. The group alleged that roads and temporary military infrastructure have been built in areas they consider part of Indian territory.

According to the tribal body, residents who once freely accessed ancestral grazing lands, hunting areas and forest resources are now unable to do so because of the reported presence of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. The society claimed that local communities are gradually losing access to land they have traditionally used.

The organisation further alleged that five locations under the Taksing Revenue Circle including Oying, Paniyar, Marpan, Potrang Lake and Tindingtang have witnessed increasing Chinese activity. Community leaders have urged authorities to verify the claims and take appropriate action if necessary.

The MLA representing the Nacho Assembly constituency has also called for an official inquiry, saying the matter is linked to national security and deserves immediate attention. He urged the government to establish the facts and address the concerns raised by local residents.

As of now, neither the district administration nor the Arunachal Pradesh government has issued an official statement confirming or denying the allegations. The claims remain unverified, and authorities are yet to announce the findings of any formal investigation.

The latest allegations come amid continued sensitivity along the India China border, where both countries closely monitor developments in frontier regions. Local communities have expressed hope that the issue will receive prompt attention to ensure the protection of their traditional lands and national interests.
