Lokesh Kolkata Visit: Nara Lokesh Meets Suvendu Adhikari in Kolkata to Strengthen State Ties

Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh met West Bengal leader Suvendu Adhikari in Kolkata and discussed governance, investment opportunities, temple development, fisheries cooperation, and stronger interstate relations.

Lokesh Kolkata Visit: A significant meeting aimed at enhancing cooperation between Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal took place in Kolkata, where Andhra Pradesh Information Technology and Education Minister Nara Lokesh met senior West Bengal leader Suvendu Adhikari.

During the interaction, Lokesh highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s governance model and explained how technology is being used to deliver welfare benefits efficiently and transparently to eligible beneficiaries. He also shared details about the state’s efforts to attract investments through business friendly policies and faster administrative processes.

The discussions extended beyond governance and focused on areas where both states can work together for mutual growth. Lokesh suggested stronger collaboration in the fisheries sector and export related activities, noting that such partnerships could create new economic opportunities for both regions.

One of the key proposals raised during the meeting was the allocation of suitable land in West Bengal for the construction of a Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams temple. In return, Lokesh assured full support from the Andhra Pradesh government for the development of a West Bengal Bhavan in Tirumala.

As a gesture of respect, Lokesh honored Suvendu Adhikari with a traditional Mangalagiri handloom shawl. Sources said the discussions were held in a cordial atmosphere and covered several topics related to development and cooperation.

Adhikari responded positively to the proposals presented during the meeting. The interaction is being viewed as an important step toward strengthening cultural, economic, and administrative ties between the two states.

Lokesh is also scheduled to participate in a conference organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Kolkata, where he will present the investment potential and business opportunities available in Andhra Pradesh to industry leaders and investors.
