Mephedrone Lab Busted: International Drug Racket Busted as Secret Mephedrone Lab Found in Mango Orchard

Mephedrone Lab Busted: A major anti narcotics operation in Rangareddy district uncovered a hidden drug manufacturing unit, leading to arrests, seizures of mephedrone, and exposure of a wider network.

Mephedrone Lab Busted: A covert drug manufacturing operation running from a secluded mango orchard on the outskirts of Hyderabad has been dismantled by Telangana police. The raid exposed an alleged international narcotics network involved in the production and distribution of mephedrone across multiple regions.

The operation was carried out jointly by the Telangana Eagle Force, Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement teams, and local police units in the Batasingaram area of Rangareddy district. Acting on specific intelligence, officials intercepted two suspects and later traced the source of the illegal drug production.

Police seized around 750 grams of high purity mephedrone valued at nearly Rs 50 lakh. In addition to the narcotics, authorities recovered chemicals, laboratory equipment, a vehicle, and mobile phones believed to have been used in the operation.

According to investigators, the accused had allegedly set up a makeshift laboratory inside an isolated shed located within a mango orchard. The location was reportedly chosen to avoid suspicion and allow the manufacturing process to continue unnoticed.

The alleged mastermind, identified as Kesari Matsyagiri, was arrested along with another suspect, Nimmala Naresh. Police claim the primary accused had links to narcotics activities in several states and had previously faced criminal cases related to drug trafficking.

Investigators believe raw materials and chemical substances were procured and transported to the orchard, where they were processed into mephedrone through a series of chemical procedures. The finished product was allegedly intended for distribution through a larger network of agents.

The arrests were made near a weighbridge facility in Batasingaram while the suspects were reportedly preparing for a drug delivery. Following interrogation, police conducted a search of the manufacturing site and uncovered the full scale operation.

Authorities said several other key members of the network remain absconding, and special teams have been formed to track them down. Officials described the case as a significant breakthrough in efforts to curb the spread of narcotics and protect young people from drug abuse.
